I'm thinking that installing on Arch Linux was a wasted effort as worked fine for me, and Pipewire introduced a bunch of new compatibility problems. The KDE startup sound also doesn't play anymore.

I'm trying to record computer audio with Audacity.

@james I typically have my speakers off, so I don’t really care about the startup sound (didn’t know there was one at all)

Is it really a lot of effort though? Basically just uninstalling pulse, yay -Sy pipewire and stuff, and systemtl enable & starting.

@james Hmm, whats the verison for pipewire? And are you using wireplumber or pipewire-media-session?

@james it's a package so the same way you'd see if it's installed
