I have no opinion on opnsense but we are switching to it for some production environments
@dcc Not it's fine in fact they are both probably the same but one of our departments is making an application from scratch and wanted a fresh start.
Our pfsense configs are extremely complicated having been maintained for multiple years. An external auditing firm looked at our configs and said they are fine but trying to onboard anybody onto it is difficult because we have to do special things to make pfsense work in virtual environments.
