@PurpCat Deadass I got emails daily from the CEO about Nvidia Ai for six months straight. And then we had to give him a reality ✅ about the fact that we are over capacity for cooling and that adding GPUs will probably overheat the datacenter.

I haven't received an email from him in 2 months.

@splitshockvirus @PurpCat You gotta be careful about this. Do not deny a C level anything; steer them in the right direction instead. "We can't do this right now but with X resources which costs Y dollars we absolutely can".

Give him a quote on what it would take to do what he asked, otherwise he's going to find solutions outside of what you control and I guarantee you it will be poorly thought out consultant/cloud garbage.

Sometimes I wish we would outsource, but no we never use third party vendors, we make a request to Retards & Dumbasses (Netadmin's words not mine), who will procrastinate and then also feature creep the request so that it never gets done and code needs to be refactored which also delays the request.

@splitshockvirus @PurpCat I just prefer to make decisions myself rather than have them made for me, because in almost all cases, my way is better and my crystal ball is sharper than theirs.

This guy's gonna figure out how to get whatever asinine plan he has rolled out one way or another, and there is nothing more dangerous than a non-technical exec on a mission.

We already spent 40K on L40S servers (whom no one is deving out on). Once we move datacenters that's the next thing that's going to be done.

But R&D is in for a surpised (not really a surpise) that Nvidia Nim won't run on anything lower than 20.04.
