@splitshockvirus poast pics (muted that thread because I'm a fat retard)
@splitshockvirus tack weld the screw head to a steel rod?
@splitshockvirus or just cut a slot on the screw head and take it out with a flathead driver

@not_benis I fortunately was smart (or lazy) and didn't locktight the scope rings so I can just flip it around. The mount was locktighted I did that yesterday because it came loose.

I'm gonna take it to a gunsmith and just let them deal with it. I sent Trijicon an email for screws. If the gunsmith can't or won't try I'll start desperate measures.

@not_benis I took a torch to it no joy, even got it to 220C.

That has legit ruined my week, and I could have just tightened the screws to 18 inch/lbs as they were and not moved the mount around and I wouldn't be out $350.

At least my scope is fine. Could reverse it but that just urks the shit out of me.

@splitshockvirus if both the screws and holes are made out of steel, nothing happens when you apply heat because they have extremely similar rates of thermal expansion. If the holes were aluminium you could help the screws come out with heat, because aluminium expands more.

@not_benis I think It's steel and holes are stainless, really it was to melt the red locktight. I'll probably get a new mount.

Also now I want to get a new carry gun because I don't like shooting micro 9mms anymore, recommend me a pistol, requirement is that it can accept a laser optic and trigger is nice.

@splitshockvirus if you're considering an enhanced 92FS, why not just get a 92X?

@not_benis ✍️

I'm just throwing stuff at the wall, I don't know enough about Beretta to say why I wouldn't. I'm heavily considering a PDW brace tho.

@splitshockvirus there's also Tanfoglio (sold in the US by EAA iirc tbqhwyf frfr) who makes raceguns based on the CZ-75 pattern

@not_benis They're imported by IFG now. It would be weird carrying one of these. I probably am not going to go custom because I don't want to have tolerances too tight.

@splitshockvirus they also make the Stock series that look normal, and plastic fagtastic stuff as well if that's what you like (scoffs)

@not_benis They look like my SP-01, I want an optic, and also a brace.

I've decided on this

@splitshockvirus I don't understand why you'd do that, but it's not my money

@not_benis

What red dot should I get. I have a few slots of picatinny to work with.

@splitshockvirus@mstdn.starnix.network @0@gh0st.live @not_benis@cawfee.club as much as i hate china, the holosun eps carry is objectively like the best micro optic out there right now esp for the money

@shibao @not_benis @0

You hate China because you are Taiwanese.
I hate China because I'm Japanese. We are not the same.

Also their shit Alibaba VM was slow af when I was browsing. I'm probably going to get an Aimpoint Acro P2.

@splitshockvirus@mstdn.starnix.network @not_benis@cawfee.club @0@gh0st.live i've been thinking of getting a steiner but it's worse than an eps in every single way :(

@0@gh0st.live @splitshockvirus@mstdn.starnix.network @not_benis@cawfee.club i like smaller but last range trip i had trouble finding the dot, dunno if it was weaker cuz old battery and too sunny but i ended up actually using the circle reticle on my 507k. but honestly it doesn't really matter that much when you're actually training with it cuz when you're shooting splits reflexively with it you're basically just waiting to see it return to the field of view. that said, i like smaller dots, so i like the 1 moa dot. but ymmv

@shibao @splitshockvirus @not_benis I'm looking at that 6 for $200 like... it's gonna be used at 10m max range.
